The Swiss Centre of Expertise in Human Rights (SCHR) was set up in 2011 on behalf of the Federal Government as a pilot project. The SCHR was to gather experience in order to establish a National Human Rights Institution. It advised and supported authorities, NGOs and companies in implementing Switzerland's international human rights obligations. At the end of 2022, the mandate expired and the SCHR closed its doors.
In the eleven years of its existence, the SCHR undertook over 200 projects on the implementation of human rights in Switzerland. The projects and the resulting publications are available to the public in this web archive.
